Hello & Welcome To The All New – DennisEdell.com/DirectSalesWebMarketing.com Merged – Direct Sales Coaching Blog!
If you landed here fresh, you may want to check out the final post on DSWM.
======================================================
OK OK Calm down, take a deep breath and relax; I know exactly what you’re thinking. Is this guy insane?!?! Completely out of his mind?!?! Who the !@$% launches a blog, much less a deeply anticipated blog in this condition??
Well, I do. Dare to be different and all that.
The truth is, I’ve been coming up with excuse after excuse and am getting tired of it all. The final straw I suppose was Rob’s web tip telling me to shut up and just do it; so here we are.
I decided a short time ago that I was going to launch completely bare bones as you see it now. I thought it would be kinda cool and fun to update it, theme and all with “live” feedback as it were. This way, if YOU have any suggestions not thought of yet, I can implement right from the get-go! Nifty, huh?
For those of you that might not understand the title, it’s simple…the first thing to be done is the move of ALL posts/comments from DSWM to here. Actually, that’s already done; all posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags are sitting in draft mode waiting to be republished…
This is an awesome strategy for both of us! I get to do the SEO correctly on each post right from the jump, and you get a second chance to view articles you may have missed the first time around. OR an opportunity to add more insight to posts you may have already commented on.
And with the curiosity now at toxic levels entrenched in all levels of your brain, I leave you for a bit. Muahahahahaha. This is just part 1 of a 2 part Welcome!. I leave you with the final and most important note of the day…..
DSWM IS DONE. Kaput, finished, fineto, not even one more itty bitty teeny weeny little “official” post. IT’S TIME TO MOVE!!
If you are a current subscriber there, and wish to continue being my blog subscriber, you will have to resubscribe here. I’ll make it real simple for ya since there aren’t subscription services yet visible on this blog.
You can Subscribe to DennisEdell.com by Email, which comes with perks, or, Subscribe to DennisEdell.com in a Reader.
Important Perk: Those that subscribe via email will receive 1 possibly 2 permanent backlinks (URL+Twitter) with your choice of keywords, once my “Meet Our Subscribers” page is created. You can check out the current one to see what it may look like.
My apologies to those that subscribe via a feed reader; I cannot offer you this perk for two reasons.
First and foremost, feed reader subscriptions cannot be verified as email subscribers can. It’s not that I luv you less or mistrust you persay, but you know there is always 1-2 bad seeds that ruin it for all. Second, nowadays with the fear of marketer spam far and wide, those that give up an email address show the blogger that they truly do trust him/her, and I feel that should be rewarded.
That’s all for now, whichever you choose, I look forward to the numbers going up up and away! I plan to have much more fun here then we did there, and we had LOTS of fun there!
Welcome Aboard part 2 will be much longer, much more informative and explanatory, so please keep an eye out for that!
———————————————————————————–
PLEASE READ: I realize my comment policy is not posted yet, so here’s the main point. You MUST include a real or nick name in front of your keywords. Name only or Name@Keywords are the only two comment types I will accept. I’ve installed KeywordLuv for your linking pleasure.

Glad you’ve gone and done it, finally. Any more build-up of anticipation, and I’d be all, “I’m from Missouri – show me. Oh, never mind, forget it…”
You see what happens when curiosity reaches “toxic levels”? It moves on to gratification. Elsewhere.
Yes, I’m here to keep your ego in check, as usual.
I kind of like the bare-bones, retro look. Only two blogs I follow use this theme, believe it or not. Yours, and “The Guys’ Perspective.”
This should be fun, since I came late to your blog. I assume you have lots of 100% eco-friendly, enlightening, and entertaining posts to recycle? Looking forward to reading some for the first time!

@Holly Jahangiri, I haven’t heard of “the guys” but it shouldn’t look like this for long…and you know you couldn’t stay away long.
Eco friendly – print them and dispose properly.
Enlightening – read them by candlelight.
Entertaining – I’m sure I can think of something.

One of the big reasons it took me so long to do this move is because I had a guy that was gonna do all that for me…it’s so not me. He kept disappearing on me so I said screw it and simply copied (using the import feature) all the posts, comments, pages and all that jazz from that blog to this one.
The one thing I was worried about, more then links and all that was losing my subscribers by asking them to resubscribe…no one knew another way…too late now, I’ve already asked.
Not too worried, I can build it all back again. Thanks anyway though, I do appreciate it.

Okay. I was just having a little flashback to when my son was about three, desperately trying to be funny (you know that age where you’re funnier when you’re NOT trying – like, all the time, except when you TRY, you sort of kill it? Anyway…) You know how kids’ll tell a joke, and then when you’re sitting there thinking, “Where’s the punchline? OMG, was that my cue to laugh?” and they’re bouncing around going “Get it? Get it? Hahahahahahah!” No? (And here they bolded it and everything. Damn.)
Or maybe, @Dennis, it’s like all those jokes my parents told me “We’ll tell you when you’re twenty-one,” without realizing that, years later, when I WAS twenty-one, I’d heard far worse and much funnier. Jokes tend to be a little time-bound, sometimes.
I didn’t realize this was posted just five days ago, Dennis! LOL – there’s that giant redwood tree, staring me in the face again. My bad. The limits of my capacity to anticipate a good thing needed a stretch, and you’ve given them one. Thanks!

Hi Dennis!
You have quite a following. I mean really I think my first post on my blog I was lucky to get the one comment I got and not to mention I got that comment because I paid someone to make a comment. Hey wait that sounds like an idea….na Just kidding. Well as new guy I read your last post on your other site and then came back here. I am looking forward to what you got here
Alright I am at the bottom and there are like 83 comments above me. Can you see me down here? WOW I am obviously a little outta touch. Do I live under a rock

@Jim Hardin,
Well I thank you Jim, I needed a good laugh after an afternoon at the Dr.’s office. LOL
No worries, I see you just fine as do most of the others. We have an awesome little community and most I can say subscribe to comments.
As for not getting comments, oh I know the feeling; this is surely not my firstr blog. No no, I went through more then one before I learned the art…I had more then one lonely blog. LOL
If I may add, you laughed about paying commenters; this is not new either, but can real easily backfire…if you do it, please be sure to REALLY know who you’re paying. Even if they’re commenting on your own blog they can still make you look real bad.

@Dennis, Na I don’t pay anybody to leave a comment. I understand what you are saying it could probably could really backfire. Not sure why one would actually do that for real.
So maybe you can help me. Don’t laugh now. You asked me to add email option to my feedburner. How do I do that? Stop laughing. Like I said I am the new guy on the block. Wait wasn’t that a group?

@Jim Hardin,
eh, not too hard to understand. Paying to comment on other blogs is big business, so it stands to reason that some might pay to gather starter comments on their own new blogs…especially if they’re launching more then one at a time.
The RSS thing will come via email.

I’m not sure about “phenomenal”, I guess that’s left up to individual interpretation, lol. I am however looking forward to lot’s of reader participation, as it were.

I think it’s a great idea to build your new blog as you go. This way you get imput from many minds which is always better than just your own taste.

@Rejser til Finland, I’m sorry, can you pinpoint what didn’t make sense? I see your site is in Danish; unfortunately if it’s a language barrier thing, there may not be much I can do but I’ll try.

Hi. I wanted to let you know that some elements of your site are difficult to scan for me, as I’m color blind. I suffer from deuteranopia, but there are other sorts of color blindness that will also have issues. I will read the largest part of the site Okay, and those areas I have problems with I am able to comprehend by using a special browser. However, it would be cool if you would keep in mind we color-blind folk while carrying out the next web page re-working. Thank you.

@colin brakewell, Hi Colin, welcome to the blog!
I’ve discussed your comment (which got caught in my spam filter) with my designer.
We will look into it, but can’t really make any promises…this seems a rather big order for multiple reasons, not the least of which is, there is multiple type of color blindness.
