How To Get Pregnant
No this is not a real how to post, this is a family friendly blog! hehe
What I’m about to show you has got to be affiliate marketing at it’s finest. Now we don’t discuss affiliate marketing tips on this blog. This isn’t a marketing tips blog at all really. But one thing we do discuss is quirky finds…..this one almost knocked me over; I literally laughed out loud!
A Little Background:
I’m a member of a free membership site wherein I receive among other things, niche marketing tips (ideas) via email. Each email includes the following…..
The Idea
Estimated Monthly Traffic
High PPC Bid Price
One Recommended Affiliate Product + What it Pays
Clever eh? Very helpful to niche dopes like myself, but I digress. I received one such email today, with a niche tip that truly covers the cliche, “you can sell anything online”. Ready for this?
How To Get Pregnant
I kid you not dear friends. Here’s the stats provided in the email:
How To Get Pregnant
Estimated Monthly Traffic: 134665
High PPC Bid Price: $1.04
OK lets see if I have this right. Approximately 135 THOUSAND people per month, research how to get pregnant.
Is anyone else a bit brain fuzzled as to how that could be possible? OK benefit of the doubt says it could be the infertile looking for alternatives, but even then wouldn’t ones doctor be the logical first step?
Other then that, there must be a whole lotta bubble dwellers. I honestly have no idea what to think…it struck me real funny though.
Keep the comments clean LOL,
Dennis

hahaha, that is pretty funny! I agree though that it’s probably mostly people who are unable to for some reason or have been trying but haven’t been successful…

Actually, I’m not all that surprised, oddly enough. Though it seems like it would be easy to get pregnant, it’s a major deal for tons of couples, and in today’s age of being able to research anything online, more people, probably women, are looking up this type of information. Now, if all of us could figure out how to tap into that, we might make big money.

@Dennis Edell, Sure am, Dennis; I think about it all the time. Thing is, I’m not going into anything that I don’t know about, that I couldn’t talk about offline.

Dennis,
i dont even know where to being or what to say about this, but i think with technology nowadays, people heavily rely more and more on the Internet for information regarding anything and everything. And the stats you brought pretty much proves it.
Now, one would think that with common sense people know how to get pregnant, except the infertile ones like you’ve mention that might need to find a method. Today’s youth is pretty much curious about everything. And i’ll explain.
One day i got bored and googled (get ready for this) how to fart on command LOL.
great post, Dennis!

We have 5 kids, so maybe we shouldn’t be reading this post. lol
I fully understand the consequences of high volume and ppc. I have a friend at Squidoo who has a goal (at least he did) of creating 1 lens per day. He figures he can get $1.00 of Squidoo’s adsense sharing per lens. I think he has 800 now. As a side benefit, he has had lenses sell $1,000 in affiliate marketing products. Search ‘Loyalis and Squidoo’ and you can read his blog.

@Colleen, That’s a lot of lenses.
Unfortunately, the larger percentage suffer the consequences of low volume PPC. Hence the main reason I haven’t started ANY PPC yet. LOL
Btw, my brother/SIL also have 5, back to back. I loved telling other woman that they had “5 under 5″ - oh the looks I’d get.

You’re all right I’m sure (I hope!) in the fact that it’s people who can’t conceive that are doing the searches….it just initially cracked me up when I saw it. lol

Even when an infertile couple is seeing a Dr for their problems, desperation is a very strong driver to go looking for that magic pill, that missing link, that elusive herb that would help them conceive quickly. You’re talking about probably the second strongest drive/urge in mankind, to procreate.
And I’m sure you know what the strongest urge is, although you could always google it!
1 in 5 couples have difficulty conceiving, that’s a pretty big chunk of population!

hey Dennis,
I’m checking out your personal blog and this is the first post I read.
If 134,665 people search for “how to get pregnant” I’d guess that 1,346,650 people search for “how NOT to get pregnant” which is what I would target, if I had the time.

I think everyone know “how” to get pregnant, but for some reason it isn’t happening for them. It took us almost a year the first time. It’s a very desperate market BTW…

This is obvious. Before visit your doctor it is better to check what web will say about this, because this is not emergency case. Furthermore some services around pregnancy are extremely expensive, so.. this is very money making area.
